We measure one thing and one thing only: visual nudity and sex scenes. Every TV show and movie is rated Safe, Slightly Safe, or Unsafe.
SAFE
- ✓Zero visual nudity or sex scenes throughout the movie or episode
- ✓Verbal references, dialogue, or jokes are considered safe
- ✓Violence and profanity do not affect the safety rating
SLIGHTLY SAFE
- ~Only brief flashes of nudity (a second or two) or partial / distant exposure
- ~Sex is implied — covered, under sheets, fades to black, no body parts shown
- ~No extended, graphic, or repeated sexual content
UNSAFE
- ✗Clear visual nudity (breasts, genitals, full buttocks shown plainly)
- ✗On-screen sex scenes with thrusting, undressing, or extended intimacy
- ✗Multiple or graphic sexual scenes anywhere in the movie or episode
