The site provides verdicts ("SAFE" / "SLIGHTLY SAFE" / "UNSAFE") about visual sexual content in TV shows and movies. We do not rate violence, language, drug use, themes, or any other content category. Our verdicts are intended as a personal viewing aid and should not be treated as professional advice, certification, or a legal content rating.

2. Accuracy & sources

Verdicts come from our team watching titles, reading reviews and viewer comments, and from reports submitted by users. We do our best to verify entries, but make no warranty of accuracy. If you find a mistake, please use the Report an Error link.

3. No affiliation

isitsafe.tv is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any film studio, distributor, or rights holder. Movie posters and metadata are provided by TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

4. User submissions

By submitting a message, error report, or movie request, you grant us the right to use the information you provide to improve the site. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information.

5. Liability

The site is provided "as is" with no warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from reliance on our verdicts. Always exercise your own judgement when choosing what to watch.

Our Safety Parameters

We measure one thing and one thing only: visual nudity and sex scenes. Every TV show and movie is rated Safe, Slightly Safe, or Unsafe.

SAFE
  • ✓Zero visual nudity or sex scenes throughout the movie or episode
  • ✓Verbal references, dialogue, or jokes are considered safe
  • ✓Violence and profanity do not affect the safety rating
SLIGHTLY SAFE
  • ~Only brief flashes of nudity (a second or two) or partial / distant exposure
  • ~Sex is implied — covered, under sheets, fades to black, no body parts shown
  • ~No extended, graphic, or repeated sexual content
UNSAFE
  • ✗Clear visual nudity (breasts, genitals, full buttocks shown plainly)
  • ✗On-screen sex scenes with thrusting, undressing, or extended intimacy
  • ✗Multiple or graphic sexual scenes anywhere in the movie or episode
