We measure one thing and one thing only: visual nudity and sex scenes. Every TV show and movie is rated Safe, Slightly Safe, or Unsafe.
Our team actually watches the TV shows and movies, reads reviews, and goes through viewer comments. Your feedback helps us amend, fix, and add ratings over time. We rate every TV show and movie one of three ways: SAFE (zero visual nudity or sex), SLIGHTLY SAFE (only brief flashes or implied scenes — nothing extended or graphic), or UNSAFE (clear or extended visual nudity / sex).
Plenty of other sites already do that. Our single focus is visual sexual content — that's the one thing parents most often want to filter out before family movie night.
We watch the TV shows and movies ourselves, cross-check with reviews and viewer comments, and rely on our community to flag anything we miss. We're human — we might miss a quick scene, or a title may have multiple cuts. If you catch a mistake, please report it and we'll re-check and fix it the same day.
Anything spoken is fine in our system. We only judge what is actually shown on screen.
That's exactly what our SLIGHTLY SAFE rating is for. If a TV show or movie only contains brief flashes of nudity (a second or two), partial / distant exposure, or implied sex with no body parts shown (under sheets, fades to black), we mark it SLIGHTLY SAFE rather than UNSAFE — so you know there's something, but it's not extended or graphic. Titles with clear, extended, or repeated visual nudity / sex stay UNSAFE.
